Generator Field Service Technician 5 Years Indianapolis Office

Sills Parts 4

Formal Education, including certifications:

Macs certification, EGSA Apprentice Certification, Kohler Industrial Gen and ATS, Kohler Residential, KDI engines, KD 135, APM603, Kohler Marine certified.

What I did before I worked for BPS:

Flat rate technician at Mr. Tire.

Sills KohlerHow (or why) I came to BPS, or the best part about working here:

I came to BPS for a chance to grow with a company that allowed me to live in the small town I grew up in. The best part about working here is the constant learning and challenges that come with working here. I’ve grown a lot over the 5 years that I’ve been here and love what I do. On another note the service truck allows me to take my tools home with me every day. Way better than the automotive days of loading up your trunk full of tools to do some projects at home, just to bring them all back to the shop the very next day. This job also allows me the opportunity to pursue new ideas to help improve our efficiency in the field.

My most unusual job was:

Doing a pm on a unit that was in service for 10 years that has never been able to carry load and discovering it had been hooked up for the wrong gas this entire time.

My family/pets:

Kelly my Fiancé, Daughter Lialynn, and our 3 cats: Patches, Precious, and Guss.

Sports/hobbies/weekend activities:

Diesel Performance and automotive work. I love working on cars and truck in my spare time, especially the performance aspect of things. It seems no matter what I get I can’t stop tinkering. From buying a small VW Jetta for fuel mileage and ending up with a cam, injectors, turbo and much more to a new truck I voided the warranty on before its first oil change.

Movie I could watch 50 times in a row:

Movies I’m forced to watch 50 times in a row are the Land Before time and Zoo Topia because of my daughter LOL. I don’t really watch much TV. I’d rather be outside.

Something you would never guess about me:

I’m actually a very competitive person when it comes to anything I do.
